Paint and Sip Themes for Every Season (A Studio Owner's Calendar)
Seasonal themes do the marketing for you. Here's a 12-month calendar of paint and sip themes I run every year — the ones that consistently sell out, in the order I'd plan them.
Themed events sell faster than generic ones. The theme gives people a reason to book this weekend instead of 'soon'. Here's the calendar I run every year, with the painting that anchors each month.
Spring (March to May)
Tulips, cherry blossom, baby animals, and an Easter pastel night. This is also peak hen-do season — make sure your Saturday afternoon slots are open for private bookings.
Summer (June to August)
Beach scenes, surf vans, ice cream cones, sunflowers, and a 'paint your holiday' night where guests bring a photo. School holidays mean more parent-friendly afternoon events too.
Autumn (September to November)
Pumpkins, mushrooms, cosy cottages, and a Halloween night that always sells out (witches, skulls, haunted houses). This is your busiest period — open more dates than you think you need.
Winter (December to February)
Snowy cabins, Christmas robins, Nordic landscapes, and — most importantly — a Galentine's night the week before Valentine's. Couples Valentine's sells well too, but Galentine's outsells it almost every year.
